ऐतिहासिक , पौराणिक , एवं धार्मिक द्रिस्टीकोण से अति महत्वपूर्ण सूर्य तीर्थ स्थल देव में पिछले दिनों भगवान सूर्य के विशालकाय मंदिर के पत्थर टूटने के कई कारणों का खुलासा हुआ है , जिसमे सूर्य मंदिर परिसर के अंदर चल रहा जेनरेटर सेट भी जिम्मेवार है , कारण की जेनरेटर चलने से मंदिर परिसर में कम्पन जैसी स्थिति हो जाती है और पत्थर इस कंपन के कारण एक दूसरे से भी अलग हो सकते है। इसी के मद्देनजर औरंगाबाद सांसद सुशील कुमार सिंह ने कहा है की सांसद निधि से पंद्रह लाख की लागत से सोलर सिस्टम मंदिर परिसर एवं गर्भ गृह में रौशनी एवं अन्य कार्यो के लिए लगाया जाएगा। भगवान सूर्य के प्रकश से दिन में सोलर सिस्टम चार्ज हो और रात्रि में भगवान सूर्य के प्रकश से ही मंदिर परिसर गजमाग हो। वही न्यास समिति के अध्यक्ष सह अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी भीम प्रसाद ने कहा है की जेनरेटर सेट भी मंदिर के शीला टूटने का कारण हो सकता है इसलिए जेनरेटर सेट को भी मंदिर परिसर से हटाया जाएगा ताकि आने वाले दिनों में मंदिर को किसी तरह का नुकसान न हो।
